Linus Terh
Counsellor
I’m a provisional counsellor with a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Counselling Psychology, committed to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and build greater emotional resilience. My journey into counselling grew from years of volunteer work as a mentor and counsellor with several mental health support organisations, where I have had the privilege of walking alongside people during difficult moments in their lives.
Through my counselling work, I have supported clients experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, and other personal life challenges. I believe that each person has the capacity to move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life when provided with a safe, supportive space to explore their thoughts and experiences.
My primary therapeutic orientation is Choice Theory Reality Therapy (CTRT), which focuses on personal responsibility, meaningful relationships, and empowering individuals to make choices that better meet their needs. I also integrate a range of other therapeutic approaches where appropriate, tailoring each session to the unique circumstances of the client.
Prior to counselling, I spent many years working as a communications professional. This experience has strengthened my ability to listen deeply, communicate with empathy and clarity, and connect with people from diverse backgrounds—skills that continue to support my work as a counsellor today.
